Paula-ettelbrick An extraordinary woman died today – Paula Ettelbrick was a wonderful, dedicated, smart, funny, and deeply gracious person who was enormously loved and respected by those who knew her. Over the course of her career, she provided leadership to a remarkable number of lgbt organizations: Lambda, IGLHRC, Stonewall Community Foundation, NCLR, Empire State Pride Agenda, and the Task Force Policy Institute. I knew her best through her work at Lambda Legal. Her lawyering – like her teaching and writing – embodied the best of both professionalism and progressive values. There is a hole in my heart as I write this, and I know that the same is true for so many others literally around the world.

October 8 – The New York Times has now posted an obituary.
