The International Commission of Jurists has published a tremendous new online resource: a 400-page book entitled Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Justice- A Comparative Law Casebook. Like traditional casebooks, this one compiles leading cases organized by topical areas: decriminalization, workplace law, family law, and religion, among others, with separate chapters on gender identity and expression. The book summarizes each case using components familiar to lawyers and accessible to all: facts, procedural posture, issue, relevant positive law if any, and the court's reasoning. In all, the book contains 108 cases from 41 countries. Kudos to ICJ for this tremendous contribution!
