Is this a chart of same-sex marriages and unions *performed* in the U.S.? Or does it count the many (American) people married in Canada, etc.? (Counting civil unions from foreign countries would seem difficult, but counting marriages might be do-able and worthwhile, since they receive recognition here in certain states)
