Feldblum sworn in as EEOC Commissioner

by on April 8, 2010  •  In Employment law

Feldblum_swearing_in Acting on President Obama's recess appointment,  Chai Feldblum was sworn in Wednesday as an EEOC Commissioner.  New EEOC Chair Jackie Berrien, formerly of the NAACP LDF, did the honors.  Feldblum's formal nomination (along with dozens of others) remains before the Senate, pending confirmation. The recess appointment will last until January 2012; the confirmation would be to complete a term that ends in July 2013.

Will Senate Republican's continue their pointless and petty obstructionism to block her and other Obama nominees (including Jackie) from confirmation?  Stay tuned…
