The political geography of purple states

According to a powerpoint presentation Friday at the National Press Club, the growth in metropolitan urban/suburban areas and in the number of whites with some college (replacing white working class) voters should translate to big gains for the Dems in this election. The analysis concentrates on swing (purple) states. Happily, it seems that everything is cutting Obama's way.
